Hapkido Terminology

Basic Korean Terminology for Students of Hapkido

Hangul has 14 basic consonants and 10 basic vowels. It should be noted that the romanised (English) spelling of Korean words can be very variable.
For example: the letters 'b' & 'p' are more or less interchangeable.
The same applies to 'g' & 'k', 't' & 'd', 'r' & 'l', 'j' & 'ch', and 'u' & 'oo'
